Appendix 4 - Cart Customizations

One of the big advantages that MercuryCart has over many other commercially available shopping cart is the ability to have your cart customized to your specific needs.

Since each shopping cart is a separate package, customizations can be made quickly and easily, as compared to other shopping carts. Customizations can include anything from custom shipping modifications, customized appearance options, custom payment methods, inventory management, and much much more. If you can imagine it, we can deliver it!

In order to have your customization developed, you should first determine exactly what it is that you would like done. If it is a shipping module for example, you should have prepared ahead of time a detailed description of how you would like your shipping to be calculated, including any formula’s that you require. This will expedite the development process, and save you time and money. You can never have too much detail in a description, if you think that you have gone overboard in your detail for the module, add another 10% above what you have to be safe.

Once you have as much detail as you can for your module, contact your MercuryCart sales or support representative by email:

Include in the email, your request, your cart name/directory, your name and contact information, and the detail on the customization. A representative will get back to you immediately with a quote or any question that they may have on the customization.

- order downloads for integration into accounting packages such as Quicken and QuickBooks.

- custom statistics packages

- custom integrations into affiliate tracking programs such as Google, Overture, and others

- custom payment integrations to payment gateways.
